Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage, also known as "Traditional" or "Relaxation" Massage, is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork that uses a variety of techniques such as gliding strokes, kneading, friction, compression and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. Restored circulation allows an increase in oxygen flow in the blood and the release of toxins from the muscles. Flushing metabolic wastes shortens recovery time from muscular strain and relieves pain. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include mental and physical relaxation, relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that is used to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Some of the techniques may be similar to Swedish Massage, but applied using slower strokes and working at a deeper level to target specific muscle groups in areas of tension and pain. The release of tension or adhesions allows better freedom of movement and reduces pain and discomfort you may be experiencing in performing everyday activities.
Integrated Treatment
Integrated Treatment is a session that includes a variety of techniques, such as SRT - Structural Relief Therapy, AIS - Active Isolated Stretching for the upper or lower body, or other modality techniques or Reiki combined with massage in a single session, to provide an effective treatment unique to your needs. You decide how the session time will be split between the various modalities.
Raindrop Technique
Raindrop Technique is a combination of essential oils massage and Vita Flex stimulation applied to the feet, spine, and neck. Therapeutic grade, pure essential oils (Basil, Wintergreen, Cypress, Marjoram, Oregano, Thyme, Peppermint, and two oil blends) are dispensed like raindrops, onto the back and massaged along the spine, neck and back muscles. This treatment supports the immune system, helps alleviate aches and pains, and promotes restful sleep. It brings a sense of restoration and renewed energy to the body both physically and emotionally.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
This MLD is the Vodder Techniques, developed by Dr. Emil Vodder. MLD is a very light massage that encourages lymph flow in the body, which then helps to drain puffy, swollen tissues, supports the body's immune system, helps the body heal from surgery, and aids in the body's natural waste removal or detoxification. Benefits generally include: detoxification, pain reduction, relaxation, and reduction in healing-time post-surgery or post-injury.
Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health. During a session, I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages, detoxify your system, and restore your vital life force energy. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain. Your body will always use this energy for its highest healing good. In this way, Reiki assists in restoring balance on physical, mental, and emotional levels.
Chair Massage - Call for Rates
Chair massage is a convenient way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage over your clothing, in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. Chair massage sessions generally focus on the back, neck, shoulders, arms and hands; and are usually shorter than table massages, making it convenient to fit into your busy schedule. Chair massage is well-suited for the workplace as a great way to provide stress relief for employees.
